Cristiano Ronaldo has done it again. The Portuguese superstar, already one of the greatest scorers the game has ever seen, reached 100 goals for Al Nassr during the Saudi Super Cup final against Al Ahli in Hong Kong.
The night did not end in glory for his club — Al Nassr lost 3-5 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation — but Ronaldo’s milestone underlined his enduring brilliance. At 40, he is now the only player in football history to score 100 or more goals for four different clubs.
Ronaldo’s journey in Saudi Arabia began in January 2023, when he stunned the football world by signing for Al Nassr in a record-breaking deal. He introduced himself with a goal in a friendly against Paris Saint-Germain, before making his Saudi Pro League debut in a 1-0 win over Al-Ettifaq. His first league goal came in a draw with Al-Fateh, followed by his first hat trick in a 4-0 win over Al Wehad.
It did not take long for him to make history. In his very first full season, Ronaldo smashed the Saudi Pro League scoring record, netting 35 goals in 2023-24 to surpass Abderrazak Hamdallah’s mark of 34 from 2019. That year also saw him win the Player of the Month award in February, with eight goals and two assists.
He has lifted silverware in Saudi Arabia too, firing Al Nassr to the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023 with two goals in the final against Al Hilal.
Now, his numbers for Al Nassr stand at 100 goals in 113 matches — including 74 goals in just 77 league appearances — a strike rate that continues to silence any doubts about his age.
For a player who has broken records at Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and now Al Nassr, the milestone is another reminder: Ronaldo’s hunger for goals has not dimmed.
