The world’s football fans are once again being asked to help crown the game’s finest. FIFA has officially opened global voting for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 — the 10th edition of the ceremony celebrating excellence across every level of the sport.
A Landmark Year for Global Football
This year’s awards arrive on the back of a milestone moment: the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup with 32 teams, held across the United States. With 2.5 million fans filling stadiums and billions more watching worldwide, the tournament underscored just how far the game’s reach continues to grow.
From record attendances to dazzling performances, players and coaches have once again pushed football to new heights — and The Best aims to honour those who defined the year.
Celebrating the Game’s Finest
Panels of experts from the men’s and women’s game have drawn up the official shortlists across six main categories:
- The Best FIFA Men’s Player
- The Best FIFA Women’s Player
- The Best FIFA Men’s Coach
- The Best FIFA Women’s Coach
- The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper
- The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper
In addition, FIFA will announce The Best Men’s and Women’s World 11s, alongside the FIFA Fan Award, which recognises supporters who exemplify passion and sportsmanship.
Star-Studded Shortlists
Among the leading names in contention, Aitana Bonmatí, Alexia Putellas, and Lauren James headline the women’s field, while Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, and Lamine Yamal feature prominently in the men’s lineup.
The coaching categories bring together elite minds such as Sarina Wiegman, Mikel Arteta, and Luis Enrique, while goalkeeping greats including Thibaut Courtois, Emiliano Martínez, and Cata Coll battle for the gloves.
How to Vote
As in previous editions, fans can cast their votes via FIFA’s dedicated voting platform. Voting runs until 23:59 CET on November 28, giving the global football community a chance to help shape who takes home the sport’s most prestigious individual prizes.
The Spirit of the Fans
This year’s FIFA Fan Award nominees reflect football’s emotional core — from Argentina’s Alejandro Ciganotto and Iraq’s passionate Zakho supporters to a posthumous nod for Spain’s legendary Manolo el del Bombo, whose voice and drum became synonymous with Spanish football.
With its tenth anniversary marking another milestone in the sport’s global story, The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 remains more than just a ceremony — it’s a celebration of the people who make football the world’s game.
