Lakshya Sen and the men’s doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy will spearhead India’s campaign at the Denmark Open 2025 badminton tournament, beginning on October 14.
According to Olympics.com, Lakshya Sen, who reached the semi-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympics, has struggled during the current BWF World Tour season with 10 first-round exits. His best showing came last month at the Hong Kong Open, where he finished runner-up.
Lakshya Sen will be joined in the men’s singles main draw by Ayush Shetty, who won his maiden BWF World Tour title at the US Open 2025. The event will feature Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen, a two-time Olympic champion, as the top seed.
In the men’s doubles draw, sixth-seeded Chirag and Satwik will look to build on their recent form following runners-up finishes at both the Hong Kong Open and China Masters. Sai Pratheek K and Pruthvi Krishnamurthy Roy are also in the fray.
Anmol Kharb is India’s only entry in the women’s singles and comes in with confidence after reaching the semi-finals of the Arctic Open Super 500 last week.
India’s mixed doubles hopes rest on Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila, while the women’s doubles will feature the pairs of Kavipriya Selvam-Simran Singhi and Rutaparna Panda-Swetaparna Panda.
